Kop en Staart uses several types of leather in creating its shoes and bags. Because we want you to enjoy your Kop en Staart accessories for as long as possible, we offer the following tips for usage and maintenance.

First, keep your accessories nourished by using a shoe cream or leather dressing. This ensures the leather won't dry out and will remain beautiful, vivid and supple. In addition, proper treatment helps your Kop en Staart accessories maintain their stain and moisture repellent properties. Take care not to apply too much cream or use cream that is overly greasy, as this seals off the leather and prevents it from breathing.

For bags, it is important that you use a colourless product so it doesn't stain your clothes.

For shoes, we suggest changing pairs at least every day. Changing shoes regularly improves their life cycle. After a day of wearing a pair, set them apart for a day. That way, the moisture absorbed through a normal day of wear has a better way of evaporating.
